Sustainability is deeply rooted in what we do every day: feeding millions of people with nutritious, safe and affordable staple protein foods.

We align our sustainability efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on Goal No.2: End Hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture, in line with our mission to be a leading dependable provider of affordable protein foods.

As a leading protein producer in Asia, it is our responsibility to provide protein foods in an efficient and sustainable way. We aim to be at the forefront of our industry by implementing Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) practices in our operations in line with our approach and strategy, that already incorporate ESG considerations.

Sustainability has been part of Japfa’s culture since the company was established in 1971. When our founder Mr Ferry Teguh Santosa established the business more than fifty years ago, he subtly brought in a sustainability philosophy that years later was embodied in the vision of Growing Towards Mutual Prosperity. This heritage was enhanced by Mr Handojo Santosa who incorporated it in the depiction Japfa logo. Today the vision remains fresh and globally relevant, and it continues to apply across every aspect of how we do business.
