What does it mean to be a food pioneer?
DBS explores Japfa's journey from a single poultry feed mill established in Indonesia in 1971 to a multinational agri-food company supplying essential proteins across Asia — through a video and a written case study.
In both, Gabriella Santosa, Director and Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Shared Services, and Kevin Monteiro, Director and Chief Financial Officer, reflect on the innovation and bold decisions that have shaped Japfa's growth across generations – from expanding protein production across Asia to pioneering initiatives in sustainability and responsible food systems. Today, through its integrated value chain, Japfa supplies around 20% of the staple protein in its key markets.
A key idea runs through both: food is far more than what consumers see on a plate or on supermarket shelves, but the result of innovation, technology and expertise across the entire value chain.
Both pieces also highlight Japfa's long-standing partnership with DBS, which has supported key milestones in the Group's journey, from business growth to sustainability initiatives.
