Singapore, – It is with the heaviest of hearts that Japfa Ltd announce the passing of Mr. Handojo Santosa, Executive Chairman of Japfa Ltd.
A visionary leader, Mr. Santosa has grown Japfa into a leading agri-food group in Asia. He joined the Japfa Group in 1986 as a manager in the edible oil division at Nilam in Surabaya. From there, he took on various roles in our Group before taking on the appointment of President Director of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk in 1997. Mr. Santosa became the Group’s Executive Chairman in 2019, and has overseen the formulation of our Group’s corporate planning, strategic direction, business and corporate policies since then.
His fellow Board members, the Management and Japfa employees who had the privilege of knowing him will always remember his generosity and light-heart. A charismatic leader, he was full of wisdom which he never sought to hoard but shared generously. He cared deeply for his people, and was constantly looking out for our well-being and growth.
We are greatly saddened by his passing, but will hold on to the fond memories and legacy he has left behind and express our gratitude and great appreciation for his many contributions to the Japfa Group. Mr. Santosa will be most fondly remembered and deeply missed.
